Owner / Stylist

Angela Dunn

I started my journey in this industry in 2007. I was 19 and a newly single mom. I lived in a very small town waiting tables and wanted more for myself. I built up the courage to enroll in beauty school and made the commute of an hour and a half there and back every single day. With the support of my family, we made it happen. Once I graduated I ended up moving and worked in several salons throughout Austin and San Antonio. I learned something from every person and business I worked at. When my son was grade school age, I decided to move back home and started my own hair studio. It was very successful and I made a name for myself in that little town. Shortly after the two barbers that had been there for 60+ years both retired so I decided to close my studio and open a barber shop, which was also successful. At that time in my life I was making a lot of poor choices and everything that I had worked so hard for, I had lost. I had no other option but to seek help and try to rebuild my life in the city of Corpus Christi. In 2019 I chose to give my life to GOD. I fully turned to him and he completely restored my life. I was blessed by the support of my family and a business partner that helped me fulfill my dreams in this industry. With that being said I opened my first salon, Salon Modesty January 4th of 2022. My motto being “Here To Bless You as We’ve Been Blessed” meaning everything that I do in my salon is for the Lord. He has blessed me with this beautiful talent and that is why I am here to bless you <3

Kylah Ryan

Kylah’s love and passion for hair began early in life, and after becoming a licensed stylist, she knew she had found her God-given calling. Originally from the small town of Nocona, Texas, she now calls Corpus Christi home. A devoted wife and proud mom of two, Kylah is also deeply rooted in her faith and passionate about serving the Lord in everything she does.

She offers a wide range of hair services, but specializes in highlights and extensions—where her creativity and heart truly shine. For Kylah, it’s more than just hair. It’s about making each person who sits in her chair feel seen, valued, and deeply beautiful inside and out. There’s no greater joy than watching someone leave not just transformed on the outside, but uplifted in spirit.

This verse reflects the heart of her work—bringing light, joy, and confidence to others, especially those who may be coming out of a hard season. Kylah truly believes beauty begins within, and it’s her mission to help every client see just that.

Hi, I’m a licensed hairstylist based in Corpus Christi, where I was born and raised. I began my professional journey in 2024, driven by a deep passion for helping others feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.

Growing up, I faced my own challenges with self-esteem, which ultimately led me to the beauty industry. Today, I’m grateful to wake up each day and do what I love—empowering others through personalized, confidence-boosting hair services.

While I’m still early in my career, I embrace every opportunity to learn and grow. I truly enjoy all aspects of hairstyling, but it’s the meaningful connections I build with my clients that I value the most.

My biggest inspiration is my mom—her unwavering support and love continue to motivate me every step of the way. I’m so honored to be part of a talented, caring team and look forward to sharing my passion with you.

Katherine Duell

Katherine is originally from a small town in North Carolina, but just recently moved with her husband from Pensacola, Florida. She is a new military spouse and is learning to embrace the lifestyle and opportunities that come with it. They have two furbabies, Tater and Bean.

Katherine has been in the hair industry for 4 years and has been blessed to be able to her work in NC, Florida, and now at her new home, Salon Modesty. She is very thankful that the Lord continues to open doors for her and allows her to meet amazing people while continuing to do a job that she loves. Katherine loves to do balayages and highlights, but still enjoys the other services as well. She can’t wait to see you in her chair!

Salon Modesty is a hidden gem! I was immediately greeted as I walked in. The staff is very friendly. Angela did such a great job with my color and cut. My hair got some much needed TLC. I’ll definitely be back.
